The Power of Yoga and Core Strength

What a great experience yoga class was this past Saturday! The class was held right here at New Start Naturopathic. Our teacher, Vijay Reddiar, is an amazing yoga instructor, who truly brings a sense of calm to the class. The class focused on maintaining proper alignment throughout each pose, while building stamina and core strength. Yoga also promotes proper use of the breath, which can enhance your yoga practice and meditation practice. Furthermore, doing yoga allows your body to produce more of the neurotransmitter called GABA. GABA has a calming effect on the body, which is why yoga is often recommended to help manage stress and anxiety.

I’m very excited about our next yoga class, which will be announced soon. I will keep everyone posted in regards to the next class date.
